The guides set out what to test in a demonstration, where costs hide, why implementations fail and which contract terms matter, rather than asserting a ranking.
Guides
- Choosing school software in the UK — naming the problem before choosing a product, migration risk, total three-year cost, evidence fit against the Ofsted evaluation areas, data protection, AI standards and exit terms.
Before you compare
Two things make a shortlist much more useful. First, get the vocabulary straight — “MIS”, “assessment platform” and “school portal” describe different things to different suppliers. See the education glossary. Second, decide whether you are replacing a system or adding a layer, because that changes the entire evaluation.
Due diligence
Edves facts holds the company data a procurement file needs. UK GDPR sets out the contractual data position, and DfE generative AI standards covers the AI assessment.
